WE ARE AT THE END OF 2020 AND HERE IS OUR BEST OF
2020 was obviously a taxing year for everyone. Despite the nightmare that it was, there were some bright spots, like all of the records we put out, the booting out of a terrible President... and all of the great records we bought.

for getting their hands dirty to help build the thing.
Now, on to the reason you're probably here: the amazing music we're lucky enough to release! Live at Rhizome
, by free jazz heroes Heart of the Ghost
, is hot off the presses, and it's a beautiful, jarring blast from one of our absolute favorites in the game. For this stellar recording, recorded by Don Godwin at Rhizome in Washington DC on February 17, 2019, they've got renowned trumpeter Dave Ballou
along for the ride, and boy, does it RIP. Liner notes from certified LEGEND Ken Vandermark, to boot! Edition of 100 LPs, so grip this one quick.
The time has also come to bless the world with Opaquer
, the latest from Nairobi-based dreamweaver KMRU
. Joseph Kamaru's evocative LP of rich ambient sounds comes hot on the heels of his acclaimed Editions Mego release Peel
, but surely you already knew that?
Keep an ear out also for the release of Jirima
! Traditional sounds for dancing from Gumbo Binaba, Upper East, Ghana. A totally irresistible record, brought to our ears by fellow traveler Asumaya
! As usual, the vinyl release is offensively limited, so do not sleep.
